If you’re looking to get employed, an NBI Clearance is an absolute requirement. In the past, you had to line up just to set an appointment to get one. Lining up with several other people behind you just to fill out a form was torture.
Lucky for you, the NBI created a website specifically made for applying online. The service allows you to fill out an application form ahead of time and book an appointment at any NBI Clearance branch .
NBI Clearance Fee
So how much is NBI Clearance? The fee for an NBI Clearance is 130 pesos, with an additional fee of 25 pesos for e-payment, bringing it to a total of 155 pesos.
NBI Clearance Requirements
For NBI Clearance requirements, bring at least two (2) valid IDs which are the following:
- School ID

- Philippine Passport
- Voter’s ID
- Driver’s License
- PRC License
- SSS ID

Since you’ve recently graduated, I recommend bringing your school ID.
How to Get NBI Clearance Online Application in 5 Steps
1. Register in the website

Sign up for an account in the NBI Clearance website. They will ask if you already have an NBI Clearance before, but just ignore and check the box that says “No“.

A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your mobile number for verification. Once done, sign in with your e-mail address and password.

2. Complete the application form
Fill out the “Applicant Information”, “Contact Details”, “Family Background”, and “Other Information”.

When you’re done, click “SAVE INFORMATION“.

Check again if all the information you entered on the fields are correct. Click “APPLY FOR CLEARANCE” when you’re ready.
A confirmation window will pop up asking for a Valid ID that you will be required to bring. Click “I Agree” once you’re done.

3. Schedule an appointment
The next step will take you to a calendar. The blue boxes indicate the available slots for that day. You can choose to set an appointment either in the AM or PM.
Tip: I recommend going there as early as possible to not get caught up with the long lines.
When you’re done scheduling, you will have to pay 130 pesos plus 25 pesos for e-payment, with a total payment of 155 pesos. Once you’ve selected a payment option, click “Proceed” at the pop-up window.

4. Pay the NBI Clearance fee
The next page will show you a Pending payment with a Reference Number, which has a barcode. You can show the barcode to be scanned by the cashier.

You can also take a screenshot of the Reference Number or write it down on a piece of paper. You’ll need it when you’re going to any of the payment outlets you’ve chosen.
IMPORTANT: Keep the payment receipt (if you paid at 7/11), you will need it when you go to the NBI clearance branch.
5. Head to the NBI Clearance Office
Go to the designated branch where you scheduled an appointment. Prepare the valid IDs you selected when you registered.
Once you’re there, just follow the signs or ask the personnels for guidance. You’ll need to get your picture taken, as well as your biometrics, before your clearance is released.
NBI Office Hours
Regional and District NBI Clearance Offices are open from Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, excluding holidays.
While it’s only valid for 6 months, submitting an NBI Clearance online application is quick and easy, not like before.
If you’re looking to get employed, an NBI Clearance is mandatory. As long as you book an appointment early and have all of your requirements ready, you’ll be able to get it in less than an hour!
